    Incredibly Rare Allis Chalmers Fire Department Jacket. Condition is "Used".
    I cant believe I found this amazing piece of Allis Chalmers history!  The factory plant was so large it actually had it's own little paid fire department. I looked into the maker of the jacket and they opened up in 1962. So i am guessing this is an early 1960s jacket.  That being said it is is close to 60 years old and in suprisingly great shape! There are some minor flaws and a couple moth nibbles. It is not brittle but I think this is more of a collector's piece vs something you would wear everyday. Allis Chalmers is probably best known for their rugged farm implements but they also made fire engines.
    How cool would it be to parade your old AC wearing this probably unique jacket?!
    I have looked all over the www to find another or even anything close. I came up empty.
    It came from a local estate sale where it was hanging with bunches of military garb.
    I am 5'10 and weigh 180#. It fits me quite nicely. I wear size 44 or 46 in coats depending on the maker and cut.
