    Slide rule, counting rule
    - an analog computing device that allows you to perform several mathematical operations, including multiplication and division of numbers, exponentiation (most often in a square and a cube), calculating square and cube roots, calculating logarithms, potentiation, calculating trigonometric and hyperbolic functions and some other operations. If you break the calculation into three steps, then using a slide rule you can raise numbers to any real power and extract the root of any real power.
Before the advent of pocket calculators, this tool served as an irreplaceable calculating tool for the engineer.
An idea close to the construction of a slide rule was expressed at the beginning of the 17th century by the English astronomer Edmund Gunter; he suggested applying a logarithmic scale to the ruler and using two compasses to perform operations with logarithms (addition and subtraction). In the 1620s, the English mathematician Edmund Wingate improved the "Hunter scale" by introducing two additional scales. At the same time (1622) his version of the ruler, not much different from the modern one, was published in the treatise "Circles of Proportions" by William Oughtred, who is considered to be the author of the first slide rule. At first, Outred's ruler was circular, but in 1633, a description of the rectangular ruler was published, with reference to Outred.

    Geometric figures
This photo is only a part. There are 14 different shapes in total.
Curvimeter is a device for measuring the length of winding lines, most often on topographic maps, plans and drawings. The curvimeter consists of a toothed roller of a known diameter on the handle and a counter of the number of teeth traveled. To measure the length of the curve, roll it with a curvimeter roller. This instance measures both in centimeters and inches.

    Unusual old castle
I managed to open it 1 time, and I no longer remember how I did it. I think that those who collect castles will be able to do it. In the photo, there are
    2 magnets
attached to the top of the lock - they are a separate product and have nothing to do with the lock. The key is inserted into the lock - this can be seen in the photo. He is about 60 years old.
Tea tin box. It's a regular box, but stylish
    Mysterious device
He will be for you what you yourself want. The device is beautiful, and everyone who came to visit me involuntarily paid attention to it and asked: what is it? The product passport states that it vibrates at a speed of 6000 per minute. It also claims to use gold plating, and has germanium and liquefaction titanium elements. I cannot guarantee that it will have any positive or negative effect, as it is not an expert in the beauty industry. And it was bought exactly as a massager for the T-zone of the face. Perhaps using its properties, for someone it will find its application in esotericism and extrasensory perception. For me, this is primarily a stylish thing. With branded box and instructions. Battery powered.
A stand for flowers or anything
    - how you show your creativity.
This is probably the only example that exists in the world. I have designed a candlestick for a dining candle made of ceramic, stone or iron. Further, the model was created in a computer program and printed on a 3D printer. However, I did not start the production of these candlesticks, and this item remained with me in a single copy. Since it is plastic, it is not recommended to use it as a candlestick, but it will be a very interesting mini-vase or something else.

    A mug is a pump-room
    Approximately 1970s
Conversational versions of the name: resort mug, mug with a spout, drinking house, less often - drinking cup, marmot.
Such circles first appeared in the 17th century in the Czech Republic and in Karlovy Vary. Later, the tradition of drinking mineral water from a special container took root in Germany and from there spread to world resorts.
It is believed that acids and minerals contained in mineral water can destroy tooth enamel, as well as give it a yellow tint, so drinking water through a spout minimizes no contact of water with teeth. The spout performs a similar function when alternating between hot and cold mineral water, since contrasting temperatures are also harmful to the teeth.
Mugs are traditionally made flat because it is more convenient to carry them in your pocket, since drinking cure means long walks. The design of the pump-room allows dispensing water and prevents large sips. It was also believed that it is convenient to drink from the pump room while lying down, since, again, the spout mug dispenses water.
The theory that by its shape the pump-room facilitates drinking water with an unpleasant odor seems very plausible. Some types of mineral water contain, for example, a pungent-smelling hydrogen sulfide, and if you drink from a spout without lowering your nose inside the vessel, then the drinking course is not so difficult.
How to drink mineral water from the pump-room properly: bite the nose with your teeth, tilt your head back, take a sip. One small sip of water every 10 steps.

    Handmade Kubachin bracelet
The bracelet was purchased by my grandfather while traveling in the Caucasus about 50 years ago.
This handmade bracelet was bought in the village of Kubachi (now the territory of the Republic of Dagestan). This is one of the largest traditional centers of artistic metal processing in the Caucasus. From the early Middle Ages, it was known for the manufacture of chain mail and weapons, and its inhabitants from the 6th century AD were known under the name Zirikhgeran (from the Persian chain mail, chain mail makers). Since the 15th century, the inhabitants have been known under the Turkic name Kubachi with the same meaning. Kubachins are a subethnos of the Dargins who speak the Kubachi dialect of the Dargin language.
As a handmade metal product, it is distinguished by its accurate elaboration of small details. This is the work of a good master.
    Metal cupronickel.
Diameter 6 cm, respectively, circumference 18.8 cm.
Unfortunately, I do not know if this bracelet was bought as new or if it was bought from the local population and its age is unknown. If it was bought as new, then it is about 50 years old.

    Spinner
Mainstream subject without a definite end-pre-quarantine assignment - 2010-2019 AD.
In the center of the spinner there is a metal or ceramic bearing, several blades / wings or weights are radially located. At present At the same time, the patent status of spinners is unclear.
In my personal opinion, the popularity of spinners was due to the mesmerizing rotation in many ways.
On December 23, 2016, Forbes' James Plafk published an article in which he called spinners "a must-have office toy in 2017". In late March 2017, social media users like YouTube and Reddit started uploading videos in which they discussed and performed spinner tricks.
