World War One sterling silver watch fob for the famous 57th Infantry Regiment of the United States Army, still with the original leather strap. 1st design of the unit logo- The fob has "57th U.S. Infantry", "ALWAYS FORWARD" and "THE GREAT WAR" on it's obverse. This design predates the famous Filipino Scouts design (Changed in 1920). Maker marked on the reverse side "DUNHAM MADE S.A. TEX.", also marked "STERLING". The 57th Infantry Regiment shipped out to the Philippines after the war ended in Europe was redesignated the 57th Infantry (Philippine Scouts) on 2 December 1920.
