From a local family estate, here is a scarce WW1 US ARMY AMBULANCE SERVICE ASSOCIATION MEDAL WITH RIBBON
Marked on the reverse pin to the WHITEHEAD & HOAG COMPANY, the medal is in excellent condition with only minor age to the ribbon on the obverse in front of the pin bar.
Scarce medal with ribbon that is the model for the Purple Heart issued to WW1 Wounded Soldiers in the 1930s
